针对掺钛蓝宝石固体激光器腔内脉冲压缩的问题,利用光学设计软件设计棱镜对超短脉冲压缩器,对脉冲群延迟色散进行补偿,以此压缩超短脉冲。利用光学设计软件建立棱镜对脉冲压缩器模型,利用计算群延迟色散的宏得出棱镜对群延迟色散与棱镜对间距之间存在线性关系,结合蓝宝石晶体的群延迟色散,优化获得与之匹配的压缩器结构参数。对脉冲中心波长群延迟色散进行补偿的同时,使用色散小的熔融石英玻璃使100 fs脉冲边带波长的群延迟色散减小至10 fs2。运用光学设计软件计算光学系统的群延迟色散具有直观、简单、计算量小的优点。

针对宽带超短脉冲的倍频,用光学设计软件设计了10 fs、0.8 μm 超短脉冲的倍频系统,该系统包括4个棱镜、2个聚焦透镜.宽带倍频系统要求脉冲中所有的波长成份在非线性晶体中均能实现相位匹配,据此选择操作数建立系统评价函数;以非线性光学倍频中的允许角度评价光学系统的质量;分别对基波和谐波的光路优化设计,获得的棱镜尺寸、棱镜间距和透镜焦距等参数能够使脉冲中的各频率成份以相位匹配方向入射到非线性晶体或无空间啁啾的合束.此外,编写宏对光学系统中群延色散进行控制,使基波在晶体中心无啁啾,以获得最佳倍频效果,谐波光路引入一定的群延色散补偿谐波中的啁啾,消除了谐波中的时间啁啾,获得高质量的谐波脉冲.

A reliable target-triggering plasma shutter was applied to second harmonic generation (SHG) of AgGaSe_(2) crystal with a TEA CO_(2) laser. Under normal air pressure, argon charged plasma shutter was triggered by focusing beam companying with a pair of adjustable metal targets. Conversion efficiency was enhanced by 3.3 times and the maximal efficiency 9.3%, with 1.4-mJ second harmonic energy was obtained. Finally, crystal damage was discussed together with previous work.

Optical properties and nonlinearity on phase-matching (PM) of two (yellow and orange) phase HgGa_(2)S_(4) crystals were investigated in details. Damage threshold was determined in comparison with middle infrared (IR) crystal at identical experimental conditions. Second harmonic generation (SHG) of 30 ns TEA CO2 laser pulses was realized with 5% efficiency in energy and 6.9% in peak power.

Investigation results on linear and non-linear optical properties, damage threshold and potential efficiencies of biaxial negative LiInS_(2) crystal are represented. It shows that the crystal has phase-matching and groupvelocity matching in wide spectral range for second harmonic, sum- and difference-frequency generation of visible, near and middle IR lasers. The possibilities of designing middle IR optical parametric oscillator (OPO) pumped by Nd:YAG and dye lasers and specially possibility of frequency conversion with 3 μm range femtosecond erbium lasers are given.
